‘Banoffee’ Overnight Cereal | Right 4 All Types
"Banoffee Pie" is a traditional English dessert that features bananas, cream, toffee and buttery biscuits. Chocolate and or coffee are a popular addition to the pie. Our "Banoffee Overnight Cereal" is a fun spin on the English treat. This recipe features our Cocoa flavored Uniblend Protein Powder and can be enjoyed as a sweet breakfast or a healthier dessert alternative. Serves 2
Types A & AB
Ingredients:
- 2 scoops Cocoa flavored Uniblend Protein Powder
- 2 cups oats or millet
- 1½ cup almond yogurt
- 2 pears
- ½ cup pecans
- 2 tbsp cacao nibs or chocolate chips
- 1-2 tsp agave syrup optional
Instructions:
- Chop one of the pears and stew in a saucepan with a little water over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until soft and broken down.
- In a bowl, mix together the Cocoa flavored Uniblend Protein Powder, oats or millet, almond yogurt, and stewed pear until combined. Taste and sweeten with a little agave syrup if preferred.
- Transfer the overnight oats into bowls or glasses and refrigerate for 2 hours to overnight.
- Slice the remaining pear. To serve, evenly top the "banoffee" bowls with pecans, sliced pear and cacao nibs or chocolate chips. Enjoy at chilled or at room temperature.
Types O & B
Ingredients:
- 2 scoops Cocoa flavored Uniblend Protein Powder
- 2 cups oats* or millet
- 1½ cup rice milk
- 1 banana
- 2 pears
- ½ cup banana chips
- 2 tbsp cacao nibs or chocolate chips
- 1-2 tsp agave syrup optional
*Oats are an Avoid for type O non-secretors, use millet.
Instructions:
- Chop one of the pears and stew in a saucepan with a little water over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until soft and broken down.
- Mash the banana. In a bowl, mix together the Cocoa flavored Uniblend Protein Powder, oats or millet, almond milk, mashed banana and stewed pear until combined. Taste and sweeten with a little agave syrup if preferred.
- Transfer the overnight oats into bowls or glasses and refrigerate for 2 hours to overnight.
- Slice the remaining pear. To serve, evenly top the "banoffee" bowls with banana chips, sliced pear and cacao nibs or chocolate chips. Enjoy at chilled or at room temperature.
