Want to cook outside on the grill but avoid the unhealthy options that abound? Why not grill some salmon? This simple marinade and cooking process will make it not only the healthiest thing at the BBQ, but one of the easiest to make.
- 4 Wild salmon steaks
- 3 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 shallot chopped (white part only)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Sea salt to taste
- Finely chop the garlic and shallot, mix with olive oil and lemon juice. Marinate the salmon steaks in the mixture for 1 hour prior to grilling.
- Grill on medium heat about 4-8 minutes on each side, being careful not to burn or char the fish. Test with a fork for desired firmness.
