A new and improved version of our popular Taraxacum product, Hytrax is a blend of synergistic herbs used to maintain proper water balance within the body and encourage kidney, bladder and urinary tract health.

The central ingredient of Hytrax is organic dandelion leaf (Taraxacum officinale), which has been shown to have diuretic activity, stimulating the loss of excess water and promoting weight loss. Dandelion root benefits all functions of the liver and enhances all secretion and excretion from the body.

Dandelion was commonly used in Native American medicine, often using the root and herb to treat kidney disease, upset stomach, and heartburn. In traditional Arabian medicine, dandelion has been used to treat liver and spleen ailments. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), dandelion is combined with other herbs to treat liver disease, to enhance immune response to upper respiratory tract infections, bronchitis, or pneumonia, and as a compress for mastitis (breast inflammation).

The European Commission E, The British Herbal Compendium and ESCOP have approved the use of dandelion root for disturbances in bile flow, stimulation of urination, loss of appetite, and dyspepsia.

This is enhanced by the addition of three synergistic factors:

• Buchu Leaf Extract: Originated from South Africa, Buchu is traditionally used to relieve bladder ailments.
• Uva Ursi: This plant has had a long history of use as an herbal tonic for urinary tract health.
