New Year's Thoughts and Wishes

If I had to pick three improvement goals for the New Year, they'd be:
January is a time many people recommit to a more wholesome lifestyle and better health practices. Remember, a goal is a dream with a deadline. Successful planning involves writing your goals down along with all the steps involved with reaching them. Many people also find that establishing a “goal buddy” is a good way to stay on track. And then be vigilant with assessing your progress! Acknowledge the progress you make or where you get stuck. And don’t be afraid to re-evaluate and reassess your goals so that they stay relevant to what is happening in your life. Success is usually not dependent on luck. It is a reflection of hard work and dedication. This holds true for weight loss, healthy living, career success and personal success. With January being traditionally the month of new beginnings, use this month as a time to set some goals for yourself and put in place a plan that helps you achieve them! By the way, I’ve just completed a complete redesign of my main website (www.dadamo.com) and added a variety of new features, media and tools. Feel free to stop by and visit when you get the chance. Until next time Peter D’Adamo |

Investing in your health is the only sure bet you can make these days! One of the best ways to protect your health is through good nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight. Both the Blood Type and GenoType diets are balanced, whole food approaches to healthy living. To build muscle and lose fat, you need a variety of blood type friendly foods: proteins to build and maintain and build muscle, carbs for energy, fruits and vegetables for vitamins, minerals and fiber, water for hydration and recovery and healthy fats to help fat loss. Unfortunately, the rising prices of food can make it hard to eat healthy – your paycheck is not likely rising as fast! We’ve put together some tips to help you stay on the healthy path that you’ve chosen and stick to your budget. Buy whole foods. Unprocessed foods are less expensive and more nutritious than processed foods. They also give you total control over the ingredients and help you to avoid diet busters like high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and preservatives. Buy seasonal fruits and vegetables. Local farmers markets are a fantastic place to seek out fresh locally grown produce. If you don’t have a farmer’s market near you, check out the specials at your supermarket, seasonal produce is frequently on sale and less expensive than goods that need to be shipped in from afar. Check www.localharvest.org for a farm or market near you! Stick to the Dirty Dozen. If you can’t afford to buy all organic produce, then focus on purchasing the organic versions of the “dirty dozen.” The U.S. Department of Agriculture found that even after washing, some fruits and vegetables consistently carry much higher levels of pesticide residue than others. Based on an analysis of more than 100,000 U.S. government pesticide test results, researchers at the Environmental Working Group developed the “dirty dozen” fruits and vegetables that they say you should always buy organic because their conventionally grown counterparts tend to be laden with pesticides. The “dirty dozen” include: peaches, apples, bell peppers, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, lettuce, imported grapes, spinach and potatoes. Buy in bulk and split it with a buddy – or join a food co-op. Many foods are less expensive when you buy in bulk – plus, you often get free shipping if you order on line! Prepare your own food. Preparing your own food gives you total control over the ingredients and it’s less expensive than buying food when you are out. Cook what you need for the next day in the evening or on the weekends – it also saves you from stressing about what you’ll be eating and you can eat healthy and still save money. Avoid impulse buying. Make a list and stick to it. Plan your meals ahead, including portion size. List all the foods and ingredients you will need for the next week, go to the store and get what’s on your list – ONLY what’s on your list - then get out of the store. Grow your own food. If you don’t have room to create an entire garden, grow vegetables in containers - beans, tomatoes, peppers and other veggies grow well in pots. Lots of herbs grow wonderfully in window boxes and look beautiful too. If you don’t have a yard, some cities rent garden plots for a nominal fee. Get the customer card at your grocery store. Many large grocery stores offer a customer card that entitles you to discounts and free items. In most cases, the card is free. |

D'Adamo Genoma Skin Care Gets Glowing Reviews |
|
|
Last spring, Dr. D'Adamo launched his skin care collection, D'Adamo Genoma, with our first product, Day Light Skin Creme. Since then the creme has been flying off our shelves! Why? Because it works! Based on our wonderful feedback, Dr. D'Adamo has expanded the collection to include a night creme, a cleanser and a toner ? a complete skin care system! All our skin care products are carefully blended with all natural, wild-crafted and organic botanicals. They contain no mineral oil, parabens, paraffin or petroleum, which research shows can be disruptive to hormonal activity. D'Adamo Genoma is formulated to be right for all skin types ? most skin care products contain irritants for one or more blood groups.
Here's what some satisfied customers had to say: Male/Age 36 “I just wanted to promote the skin lotion. I’ve used it on my face and it seems like it makes your face feel pretty clean and soft. Not that I care about soft and all that, but I do like a clear complexion – and it seems to be working out well. My wife has had problems with different skin care systems. The last one we tried seemed to make her face break out. She is raving about this skin lotion saying it feels great and she is not breaking out.” Female/Age 52 “I think I’m addicted to the smell of this lotion! I used to dread sticking to any kind of routine, let alone be compliant with something twice a day, but now I look forward to washing my face morning and night just so I can put on my Genoma face crème. Also, I’ve always had excessively oily skin, especially in the ‘T-zone’, but my skin feels less oily with the use of this product. I also have to mention that because of the hot climate I live in, I typically avoid using other lotions (even ones made for oily skin) because they seem to slide right off my face as soon as I step outside or start perspiring. With the Genoma lotion, this is not the case. My makeup is still intact well into the afternoon and my face does not feel slimy when I start to sweat. Maybe the other lotions were just sitting on top of my skin and not being absorbed.” Female/Age 55 “I recently bought the crème and love it! I’m 55 and still break out. The Genoma is wonderful. It helps keep my face soft yet free from breakouts. My hat is off to you Dr. D for making such a wonderful product.” Female/Age 50 “Love, love, love the Genoma Day Light Face Crème. I am 50 and my friends have remarked that I have reversed some of the aged look on my face -my lines are less deep and there is less dullness - with the Genoma Day Light Face Crème. I live in a very dry climate (7200 feet in the mountains) and there is no fooling the climate here. Either a product works, or it does not. My skin is the softest that it has ever been.” Female/Age 31 “The Genoma lotion is great! A little of this lotion goes a long way!” |
